Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use ProfitWise and this website. ProfitWise does not provide a separate email-and-password account system. The developer does not operate a backend or server that receives and stores your ProfitWise business records.

The ProfitWise website uses no analytics, advertising technology, cookies, or tracking scripts.

2. Data you may store

Depending on how you use the app, ProfitWise may store information that you enter or create, including:

• Profit calculations and their cost, price, quantity, margin, and break-even details.
• Product and service names, prices, quantities, and related details.
• Orders, order items, statuses, notes, dates, and customer-entered details.
• Inventory products, stock quantities, thresholds, adjustments, deductions, reversals, and movement history.
• Settings, appearance choices, VAT rates and preferences, and currency preferences or snapshots.
• Daily, monthly, and yearly report information derived from saved calculations.
• PDF or CSV files that you choose to export.

You decide what information to enter. Avoid entering information that you do not need ProfitWise to process.

3. Local storage and private iCloud sync

ProfitWise stores app data locally on your device. If iCloud synchronization is available and enabled for ProfitWise, supported data can also synchronize across your Apple devices using Apple CloudKit.

CloudKit data is stored in the user’s private CloudKit database and is associated with the user’s Apple/iCloud account. The developer does not use a separate ProfitWise account to identify you and does not operate a separate server for synchronized business records.

Apple processes iCloud and CloudKit data under Apple’s terms and privacy practices. Sync availability may depend on your Apple account, device settings, network connection, iCloud capacity, and Apple services.

4. No advertising or cross-app tracking

ProfitWise does not sell user data. It does not display third-party advertising and does not use data for cross-app or cross-website tracking. This website does not use analytics, cookies, pixels, fingerprinting, or advertising trackers.

5. User-created exports and sharing

ProfitWise can create files such as PDF reports and CSV exports. Creating an export does not automatically send it to the developer. You control whether and where an exported file is saved or shared.

If you share an export with another person, app, cloud-storage provider, messaging service, or other third-party destination, that destination may process the file under its own privacy policy and terms. Review the destination before sharing sensitive business information.

6. Data deletion

You can delete supported calculations, orders, inventory records, and other app records using the controls provided in ProfitWise. Deletions may synchronize through iCloud to your other devices.

You can also delete the ProfitWise app and its local data from a device. Data that has synchronized to your private iCloud storage may remain associated with your Apple/iCloud account until the deletion synchronizes or the data is removed through ProfitWise or applicable Apple services. Deleting the app from one device does not necessarily remove synchronized data from iCloud or other devices.

Before deleting information, consider retaining any exports or records you are legally or operationally required to keep.

7. Security and responsibility

ProfitWise relies on Apple platform security and private CloudKit storage for supported synchronization. No system can guarantee absolute security. Protect your device, Apple account, passcode, exported files, and backups, and share business information only with destinations you trust.

8. Children’s privacy

ProfitWise is a general business utility and is not directed to children. The website does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when ProfitWise functionality or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised policy is published.
