1. Acceptance of these terms
By downloading, accessing, or using ProfitWise, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Purpose of ProfitWise
ProfitWise is a general calculation and business-management utility. It provides tools for profit calculations, products and services, orders, inventory, reports, VAT-related inputs, currencies, and exports.
Features are intended to help organize information and support your own decision-making. They do not replace professional systems, records, controls, or advice that may be required for your business.
3. Your information and responsibility
Results depend on the accuracy, completeness, timing, units, VAT settings, currencies, costs, prices, quantities, expenses, and other information you enter. You are responsible for:
- Reviewing entries before relying on a result.
- Checking calculations, reports, stock movements, orders, and exports.
- Correcting inaccurate or outdated information.
- Keeping any records, evidence, backups, or documentation your business requires.
- Deciding whether ProfitWise is suitable for a particular purpose or jurisdiction.
4. No professional advice
ProfitWise does not provide accounting, tax, investment, financial, legal, audit, or other professional advice. Results, labels, reports, and examples in the app are informational tools, not recommendations or professional opinions.
Consult an appropriately qualified professional for advice about your circumstances.
5. VAT and tax obligations
VAT, sales tax, income tax, filing, invoicing, rounding, record-retention, and related rules vary by jurisdiction and may change. You are responsible for identifying and verifying the rules and obligations that apply to you.
A VAT rate or calculation available in ProfitWise is not confirmation that the rate, treatment, method, or result is legally correct for a particular transaction.
6. Statutory records and filings
There is no guarantee that ProfitWise calculations, saved records, reports, or exports alone are sufficient for statutory accounting, tax returns, VAT filings, audits, financial statements, invoices, or other legal or regulatory requirements.
Maintain the independent books, source documents, controls, approvals, and professional review required by applicable law and good business practice.
7. Storage, iCloud, and availability
ProfitWise stores data locally and may synchronize supported records through the private CloudKit database associated with your Apple/iCloud account. Synchronization depends on Apple services, your account, settings, storage, devices, and network connection.
You are responsible for protecting your devices and Apple account and for retaining appropriate copies of important records. Features may be interrupted, delayed, changed, or unavailable. Do not rely on synchronization as your only legally or operationally required backup.
8. Exports and third-party destinations
You control the creation and sharing of PDF, CSV, and other exports. Once shared, a file may be processed by the selected person, app, storage provider, or service under that third party’s terms and privacy practices. You are responsible for choosing appropriate destinations and protecting confidential information.
9. Acceptable use
You agree to use ProfitWise lawfully and not to misuse the app, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or use it in a way that violates the rights of others. You are responsible for information you enter, store, or share.
10. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by applicable law, ProfitWise is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, or suitable for every business, jurisdiction, transaction, accounting method, or reporting obligation.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not responsible for losses arising from inaccurate user entries, reliance on calculations without verification, unavailable synchronization, lost exports, third-party services, missed filings, inventory discrepancies, business interruption, or decisions made using ProfitWise.
This limitation applies only to the extent allowed by applicable law and does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
12. Changes
ProfitWise and these terms may be updated over time. Material revisions will be reflected by updating the effective date on this page. Continued use after updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
